Egg Palooza

Howell’s Greenhouse & Pumpkin Patch
Are you tired of egg hunts with the pushing and shoving and the mass chaos? Come out to Howell’s for our “Chaos Free” Egg Hunt. No bucket or bags needed for the hunt. They provide an egg carton to collect empty eggs to then be redeemed for prizes. Every child will go home with something!
Busy in the morning? That’s ok. Their egg hunt is an ALL DAY event. Once you have collected your eggs you can play in their playground.
Admission for the activities for the day is $12 per child (plus tax). Child admission includes an egg hunt with a ($8 prize) and unlimited activities. $10 per Adult (plus tax). Buy your tickets online and SAVE. Tickets at the gate are $15 (plus tax) per person

The Special Egg Event is a free Easter egg hunt for children with special needs and their families. Enjoy food, carnival games, activity areas, and egg hunts that are designed for your child.
- A Quiet Egg Hunt for children on the Autism Spectrum or children with Sensory Processing issues who need a quieter environment. Children who do not need a calm sensory environment should sign up for the general egg hunt.
- A Beeping Egg Hunt For children who are blind or visually impaired.
- A Magnetic Egg Hunt For children with wheelchairs or mobility restrictions. Magnetic eggs and poles allow children to collect eggs
- A General Egg Hunt with 2 heats: ASSISTED for children who need extra time or assistance hunting for eggs and UNASSISTED for siblings of children involved in any other hunts.
Family Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt

Participants need to dress for the weather and bring their flashlight and a bag or basket for eggs. Gather as many eggs as you can find, then open them up to discover whether they hold candy or prizes from our amazing sponsors.
Register each child participating in this event. Adults and nonparticipating infants/children need not register.
Glowtastic Egg Hunt
April 11, 12 & 19
6 to 8 p.m.
Des Moines Children’s Museum
A special after-hours event featuring a glow-in-the-dark on-going egg hunt and a few special surprises. All regular exhibits will be open.
$10 for ages 1 – 9; $4 for ages 10+, free for infants and members. Admission taken at the door.
Community Easter Egg Hunt

Hippity Hop over to New Hope UMC at 4525 Beaver Ave for an EGG-ceptional Easter Egg hunt on the church lawn!
Egg hunt areas will be separated by age, kiddos 0-12 are welcome to participate!

The fourth Friday of each month is our Sensory Friendly play time for children on the autism spectrum or with other sensory sensitivities and their families to connect and explore. This month will be extra special with a continuous glow in the dark egg hunt in a quiet and calm space. All regular exhibits will be open. We will have sensory bins, communication boards, and a low light calming space.
Sensory Play Time is free to attend.

Easter Egg Hunt

Winterset City Park
Join us on Saturday, April 19th, at 11:00 sharp as we race to get over 10,000 eggs filled with candy and prizes!!! If you are one of the lucky ones, and find a GOLDEN EGG, you will win a gift basket that can be redeemed at the North Shelter!! The Easter Bunny will be walking around saying hi to all of the kids and taking pictures!
Flashlight Easter Egg Hunt
Saturday, April 19

McAninch Sports Complex
When the sun goes down, the fun begins. The Easter Egg hunt will start at 8:00 pm. Please meet at the Norwalk McAninch Sports Complex parking lot no earlier than 7:45 pm. You are required to bring your own flashlight (size limited to no larger than 2 “D” cell batteries.) An adult must accompany all children. There will be a limit of 20 eggs per child. They will be split up into age groups and Parks and Recreation staff will announce the release of each group.
Waukee Easter Egg Hunt

Hop over and fill your baskets full of candy and get a photo with the Easter Bunny on Saturday, April 19. The hunt starts promptly at 10 a.m. at Centennial Park, rain or shine.
