Greenbelt Landing in Clive, Iowa

The Greenbelt Landing in Clive, Iowa has been transformed into a destination park! This transformation of almost 15 acres brings a performance stage and festival lawn, an inclusive playground, boardwalk, trail connectors, fishing access, a renovated events building, and public art. Greenbelt Landing is a dynamic recreational and natural place where you could absolutely spend the whole day. 

Ashley Okland Variety Star Playground

Greenbelt Landing has a brand new playground–Ashley Okland Variety Star Playground! This playground has a fun 5-12 year old playground that is ramped for all kids. It has many different and unique ways to climb up that will challenge your kids and create confidence. There are multiple slides for the little and big kids! Throughout the structure, there are countless accessible sensory elements to engage tactile, auditory, and visual senses. We loved the added shade canopies and the cutest nature theming throughout the playground!

The 2-5 year old playground is one of the larger 2-5 year old playgrounds I have seen. With multiple different ways for the littlest to practice their climbing and still feel like they’re on a big kid playground. 

This playground also has musical instruments with the cutest mushroom drums! My kids loved the variety of swings–an adult/toddler swing, inclusive bucket seat friendship swing, two standard swings, and a saucer swing! 

Polk County Wetland Walk

Wow! I love this area; it is absolutely stunning! This ADA-accessible boardwalk weaves through the scenic north side of the landing. Multiple unique seating areas let you take in the beautiful surroundings and Walnut Creek. There is also access to Walnut Creek along the wetland walk, which my kids loved checking out!  

Opus Water Playground

The Opus Water Playground is a little splash of fun. There is one manual water pump that kids love to play with that creates a stream to the wetland area.
