Painted Woods Park in Waukee, Iowa

Painted Woods will WOW your kids! The first park in central Iowa with an in-ground trampoline! It is so much fun for kids and adults.

The main playground structure is five brightly colored tree houses connected by rope tunnels; some of the tree houses tower 16 feet tall! These tree houses invite all kids to bring their imagination to the park, encouraging kids to collaborate as they make their way through the tunnels and use their bodies to climb through. One tree house has a brightly colored tube slide leading to it, one a rope ladder, and my kids’ favorite was the tower that had the two slide rails!

At this park, you will also find a separate 2-5 year old playground. It is brightly colored and allows little ones to explore their own tree house and climb on ropes too. You will also find a large net spinner, standard swings, and a net saucer swing,

This park has many new trees planted, which will provide shade in years to come. I also, as a parent, loved the Adirondack chairs, benches, and picnic tables scattered throughout.
