Des Moines Pop Up and Mobile Beverage Stands
The Des Moines metro has many great coffee shops and unique spots selling local beverages. Enter to the scene a variety of pop-up, home-based and/or mobile locally owned beverage companies operated by a variety of creative entrepreneurs. Whether you love local coffee with unique flavors, matcha, smoothies or lemonade, there are lots of options to choose from.
Cha Cha Matcha
Newest to the scene is Cha Cha Matcha, which opened its Des Moines in-home pickup service in April 2026, selling a variety of creamy matchas. Follow them on Instagram to order. Try matcha flavors like Dutch Letter, Coconut Cloud and Vanilla Bean Crème.
You can also order baked foods from their Cha Cha Sweets menu like baked to order chocolate chip banana bread, snickerdoodles, and chocolate chip cookies. On your first order, make sure to grab a loyalty card to collect stamps with each drink to earn a free matcha.
Cozy, pls.
Cozy, pls. is a mobile matcha and coffee cart based out of Des Moines that’s available for pop-up events, gatherings, and other celebrations. It was started by Demir Alford, to provide a welcoming space to bring people together. Try drinks like their Orea Latte, Coffee Butter Latte, Banana Cream Matcha or their Lucky Charms Matcha. Green Finds Cafe
Ro Ayers started Green Finds Café, a mobile matcha and plant café, to combine her love of matcha and gardening. They attend pop-up events and will be at many of the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Markets. Try delicious flavors like London Fog and Lavender Honey. Más Café
For those who prefer to brew their own coffee at home, check out Más Café, a Mexican and Guatemalan-inspired business that sells ground and whole coffee beans sourced from the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala. It’s available in both dark and medium roasts and is known for its citrus notes with a clean finish. Their coffee is inspired by the coffee traditions of Latin America, which bring community and culture together.

Matcha Luv
Ayin Silva started Matcha Luv in Summer 2025 out of her love for matcha and after a trip to Japan to learn more about it. Her business has been growing ever since! Matcha Luv works directly with a farm in Japan to source matcha leaves for the delicious drinks. They update their menu regularly, but drinks may include a variety of matchas such as Strawberry with agave and strawberry puree, Dulce de Leche, and Japanese Black Seed with matcha, oat or whole milk, and black sesame syrup. They also sell a variety of chai drinks and refreshers.
Find Matcha Luv at the Downtown Des Moines Farmers’ Market throughout the month (check their Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok for dates), Valley Junction Farmer’s Market each Thursday, and other pop-up events at a variety of locations. They hope to add a pickup location throughout the week as well.
Musa’s Lemonade
Started by the youngest CEO on the list, elementary school student Rita Musa, and her family, Musa’s Lemonade can be found all over town, including at the Des Moines Downtown Farmers’ Market and local restaurants. They sell strawberry and classic flavors and are looking to expand this selection. They’re currently scaling and building the business, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
Rita’s family came to the United States as South Sudanese refugees. In honor of this, Musa’s Lemonade has a “Sip to Save” initiative donating 7% of profits to refugees across the Midwest and in South Sudan.
Natural Healthy Bar
Natural Healthy Bar is a newer business that serves organic, cold-pressed juices and grass-fed protein shakes that are organic and seed oil-free. They are home-based in East Village, Des Moines, and provide drinks for pickup and attend pop-up events. Vegan protein is available, as are non-dairy options. They serve delicious, sugar-free flavors, such as the Verde Vida cold-pressed juice, featuring kale, spinach, pineapple, ginger, and lemon, and the Dulce Vanilla protein shake with banana, milk, vanilla protein, dates, and organic maple syrup.

Piel Canela Coffee
Piel Canela, whose tagline is “un pedacito (a little piece) of Mexico in every sip,” serves a variety of delicious matchas and iced lattes. Lattes may include flavors such as Horchata (a Mexican cinnamon-rice drink), Fresas con Crema (strawberries and cream), and Maple Sea Salt. Matcha flavors may include Mazapan, inspired by the candy, and the OG Matcha, which blends matcha with sweet vanilla.
This year-old business began with in-home pickups on the South Side of Des Moines and has since expanded to include farmers markets and a variety of pop-ups throughout the metro, with many coming to events just to try the popular drinks. Sip Pretty
Sip Pretty provides lattes and other drinks for pickup on the Southside of Des Moines. They also have a mobile cart for pop-ups, celebrations, and other events. Most of their syrups are homemade, and they have a rotating menu featuring about four iced drinks each week. Past drinks included flavors like Raspberry Chip, Dirty Alani, Birthday Cake and Banana Bread.

Sukarr DSM
Sukarr is a mobile Lebanese coffee bar that brews its traditional coffee on sand, allowing it to heat from the bottom and sides. Try flavors like their iced Pistachio Latte or their Date Latte. They have other specialty drinks, such as Sahlab, which they describe as a Middle Eastern pudding drink with orchid flour, mastic powder, cinnamon, and milk.
They are at the Downtown Farmers’ Market and occasionally have private pop-ups. Contact them to schedule private events. Follow their Facebook and Instagram pages for their current schedule and check out their sister truck, Tarboosh, which sells Lebanese food like shawarma and Fattoush salad.
Syd’s Sweet ‘N Sips
Started by teenage entrepreneur Sydney Rider, Syd’s Sweet ‘N Sips sells dirty soda drinks from a location inside beauty salon, I Do Pretty, in Ankeny, as well as at pop-up events, the Bondurant Farmers Market, Uptown Farmers Market, and the Grimes Farmers Market. Try dirty sodas featuring a selection of caffeine-free drinks, fuel-station drinks featuring Red Bull, classics with Dr. Pepper or Coca-Cola, and Lotus drinks with club soda.
