Meet the Owner – Kimberly Cameron

At the heart of Dog Training Elite Des Moines is owner and trainer Kimberly Cameron, whose passion for dogs and families drives everything she does. Kimberly began her career working with dogs in 2007 as a groomer, but her path into training started on a much more personal level, while training her own dog to become a service dog. That experience sparked a deep passion for helping others create the same kind of life-changing connection with their dogs.

She went on to complete her formal education through CATCH Canine Trainers Academy and earned her certification as a CCDT. Kimberly continues to expand her expertise and is currently working toward her IACP certification. She has also invested heavily in advanced education, including attending seminars with renowned trainers like Michael Shikashio and Victoria Stilwell, and is actively continuing her studies in aggression cases through specialized courses.

Kimberly has a special passion for working with fearful, anxious, and reactive dogs, and she specializes in dog aggression cases, helping families navigate some of the most challenging behaviors with confidence and clarity. As a mom of three boys, Kimberly understands firsthand the dynamics of a busy household. She shares her home with two German Shepherds, June and Odin, a French Bulldog named Snarf, and a Sphynx cat named Turkey. When she’s not working with clients, you can find her enjoying the outdoors, especially anywhere near the water, or exploring nature with her family.
