Shoot 360 Des Moines
My oldest son loves basketball and has fun playing on a team. He also enjoys shooting hoops with friends at home, but now there’s a fun new option in Des Moines to enhance his player skills.
Shoot 360 opened in March 2025 in Urbandale and offers advanced basketball training to enhance shooting skills and accuracy for individuals of all ages, from toddlers to professionals. The facility includes five skill courts with screens, five shooting stations, and a court with three hoops. One of the hoops can be lowered for younger kids to practice.
My son started with 30 minutes in the skill court with on-screen workouts and games, practicing dribbling, dribbling with alternating hands, and shooting at targets. Then, all players competed in a quick-fire game against other Shoot 360 players in the US. My 4-year-old even got in the action, playing a game to throw the ball at the screen to squish pretend bugs. Both boys were sweaty and having a blast.
Next, they spent 30 minutes in the shortened full basketball court practicing their shots. One hoop can be lowered for younger players. Older kids can use the shooting stations where screens positioned above each hoop provide feedback for every shot.
You can schedule your first hour-long session one-on-one with a coach, and subsequent sessions can be scheduled online. After the first session, members don’t have a personal coach, but they are frequently checked on and assisted throughout the hour. Personal training is available at an additional cost. No contracts exist, and you pay monthly, depending on how often you want to visit.
