Georgetown Park in Ankeny, Iowa
Georgetown Park is a classic large neighborhood park that will draw in your kids! This playground is a large tri-shaped structure. My kids loved that each of them had their own “hallway” and “throne.” Their imaginations were sparked, which is a gift of playgrounds. My kids also loved all of the different slide options and ways to challenge their balance as they climbed through.
Georgetown Park also has a pond with a story stroll! The short .4 mile trail around the pond has the pages of a story displayed along the trail. The story was a fun interactive story, which was perfect to engage my kids. They were so excited running around reading the pages together.

Located near Georgetown Park
Across the street from Georgetown Park is Ashley Ridge Elementary School. This school has a great playground to check out (after school hours!) We also love Centennial Park in Ankeny. It is a little over a mile away at 2202 Reinhart Dr and easily one of our favorite neighborhood parks in Central Iowa.
Also, after checking out Georgetown Park, my kids love getting frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf at 1350 NW 18th St. We also love a good donut from Daylight Donuts, less than two miles away, at 502 N Ankeny Blvd.
