Wild Rose Park in West Des Moines, Iowa
Wild Rose Park in West Des Moines has some amazing updates. This new playground features an oversized sensory climbing dome that is the star of the show. The dome has ropes that challenge kids as they wobble, roller panels that offer sensory input and invite kids to create games to play together, hangout pods for kids to linger and relax, and visual panels that engage kids of all ages. My kids could have hung out all day on top of this dome! Near the dome, there is a standard-height slide with a rope ladder for kids.
This park also has a separate 2-5 year old structure. This structure has a couple of lower-to-the-ground rope challenges for the little ones, a balance course, and a shorter slide easily accessible by standard stairs. This park also offers a wide variety of swings! It has a friendship duo swing, two standard swings, an infant bucket swing, and a plastic bucket inclusive swing.
Also, there is WATER PLAY! One seasonal water pump in the middle of the playground area that allows kids to manipulate the water through a small stream area. This is the perfect little touch that keeps kids engaged at this playground!
