Sayers Park and Sprayground in Des Moines, Iowa

The makeover at Sayers Park is complete with a brand new playground and sprayground! The playground features a daring structure that mimics tree climbing. The ropes and belts to climb on make kids and adults alike think about how they will navigate through the structure. Your tree climbers will love it; your more timid kids will have plenty of opportunity to conquer this equipment. On both sides of this structure, there are two small sides. 

The 2-5-year-old playground near this main structure has many features that will draw in your little ones. It includes stairs to a small double slide, multiple sensory and activity panels, a small hideout globe, and a small saucer swing.

Sayers Park also has a multi-use court. This new free-standing goal offers a place for soccer, basketball, and hockey. 

Sprayground

Sayers Park has a new sprayground! This sprayground has multiple small sprayers in the ground. My kids loved standing on one and seeing how the water shoots higher in the one next to it. Little ones will love the little turtle and ladybug sprayers. My engineers loved the water table, where you can alter the flow of the water with different nozzles and panels. 

Sayers Park sprayground, along with all of Des Moines Parks and Rec spraygrounds, are open May 1st to Sept 30th from 9 am to 8 pm, and they are always free! The sprayground is turned on by pressing a trigger button.

Address

Sayers Park is located at 1300 Linden Lane. There is a small (brand new!) parking lot at the end of Linden Lane. Parking is also available along Linden Lane and Carrie Ave on the south side of the park.
