City Park in Bondurant, Iowa
The long awaited City Park playground in Bondurant, Iowa is finished and it is amazing! Kids eagerly want to play at this vibrant and spacious playground. At the heart of the park, a large obstacle course style playground draws kids in. This structure feels like two playground structures seamlessly connected for a more unique play experience. There are belts to climb on, monkey bars to swing on, many challenging elements that weave in and out through other elements to keep kids challenged and engaged.
On the west side of the main structure is a delightful area for toddlers and newer walkers and climbers. A traditional, yet whimsical, 2-5 year old playground set offers a safe but fun experience. Nearby cozy domes give kids the perfect hideouts for kids looking for a quieter moment, but also a challenging climbing area. My kids also love the in-ground accessible merry-go-round and a We-Go-Swings, which both allow those in mobility devices to participate without needing to transfer.
On the east side of the main playground, the double zipline steals the show! My kids were so excited how long this zip line was! Between the main structure and the zipline, there is a large open area with rubber surfacing that invites kids of all ages from spontaneous play. It was fun watching all the kids take advantage of this area.

City Park is located at 201 Main Street in Bondurant, Iowa. Pull in street parking is available on the Main Street alongside the park. Street parking is available on 2nd St SE.

Located Near City Park
Just a two minute walk from City Park is the perfect small town ice cream store, The Creamery located at 100 Main Street. (They are open seasonally from spring time to late fall.)
We also love visiting the Bondurant Public Library, 104 2nd St NE. It is a 7 minute walk from City Park, so the perfect nearby place to cool off on a hot day or warm up on a cold day. Remember in Iowa you are able to get a library card from most libraries in the state if you are a resident of the state due to the program Open Access. You do not need to be a resident of the city the library resides in.
